One Year Later: From Betrayal to Breakthrough – How Gratitude and Purpose Changed My Life
A year ago, I wrote about finding gratitude in the aftermath of betrayal. I was raw, rebuilding, and reaching for something to hold onto. What I didn’t realize then was that I wasn’t just healing — I was evolving. That pain became a portal. And now, one year later, I stand in a completely different place.
Today, I am a Certified High Performance Coach, and I use my story — that deeply human, once-devastating story — to help others rise with clarity, courage, and purpose.
Gratitude Was the Doorway. Coaching Became the Path.
After that betrayal, I leaned hard into reflection. I began each day not with a list of what was missing, but with three things I was grateful for. Some days, all I could come up with was “breath in my lungs,” but it was enough.
That simple shift rewired everything. I began to focus not on what I had lost, but what I had to give. And buried beneath the rubble of heartbreak was something I hadn’t fully owned until then: my ability to help others navigate hardship with grace and action.
It wasn’t long before I discovered high performance coaching — a method grounded in clarity, energy, productivity, courage, and influence. It aligned perfectly with everything I had lived through and everything I believed in.
So I made a decision: I was going to become the kind of coach I had needed.
The Certification Was Just the Beginning
The journey to becoming a Certified High Performance Coach wasn’t easy. It demanded I face my own blind spots, upgrade my habits, and commit to living intentionally — not just coaching it.
But with every breakthrough, I saw how this framework could help people just like me:
- Women rebuilding after betrayal
- Entrepreneurs overwhelmed by the noise of "busy"
- High achievers stuck in survival mode
What I learned is this: high performance isn’t about hustling harder. It’s about aligning your energy with your purpose so that your output feels meaningful, not draining.
I Now Help Others Find What I Found
Every client I coach brings a unique story — but the through line is always the same: they want more from life, and they’re ready to reclaim it.
Whether it’s finding clarity after chaos, creating momentum after stagnation, or simply learning to be productive without burning out — I get to walk with them. And that’s an honor I don’t take lightly.
I show up as someone who’s been through it. Who knows the sting of betrayal, but also the power of rebuilding. Who believes in grit, grace, and growth.
What I Know For Sure:
- Gratitude isn't passive. It's a decision — a radical act of emotional strength.
- Productivity isn't the goal. Alignment is.
- Healing isn't the endgame. Purpose is.
- Your pain doesn’t disqualify you from greatness. It prepares you for it.
What's Next?
I’m building a coaching practice rooted in authenticity, empowerment, and transformation. I’m speaking. I’m writing. I’m holding space for people who need to be reminded that their story isn’t over — not even close.
And I’m still grateful. Every single day.
Not just for the good. But for the fire that forged me into who I am today.
If you’re reading this and standing in the same ashes I stood in a year ago, just know this:
You are allowed to rise. You are allowed to grow. And you are allowed to create something beautiful from what broke you.
Your clarity is waiting. Your power is real.
Let’s walk that path — together.
